Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, including:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Flight numbers, pickup and drop-off addresses, and party details (adults, children and their ages).
- Payment confirmation from PayCrop — we never see or store your full card number.
- Anything you write to us directly, including custom requests and support messages.
We also collect some information automatically:
- Device and browser information, and general usage of the site.
- Approximate location, and precise pickup/drop-off addresses you enter through Google Places autocomplete.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Build your quote, process your booking, and verify price and availability before you pay.
- Send booking confirmations, hotel vouchers, chauffeur details and receipts.
- Respond to custom requests, support messages and cancellation or amendment requests.
- Keep the platform secure and improve how it works.
- Send you trip-related updates by email, and — only with your consent — occasional offers.
Data retention
We keep booking and payment records for as long as required for accounting and legal purposes. Enquiry and support messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve them and for a reasonable period afterward. You can ask us to delete information that isn't subject to a legal retention requirement.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete your information, where we're not required to keep it.
- Stop using your information for marketing.
To do any of this, email hello@mactravels.lk. We'll respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Data security
Traffic between your browser and our platform is encrypted. Card data never touches our servers — it goes directly to PayCrop, and we only retain the transaction reference and outcome. Access to guest data internally is limited to the team members who need it to run your booking.
Third-party links
This site may link to hotel partner pages or other external sites. This policy only covers Unique Sri Lanka Tours — we'd encourage you to check the privacy practices of any site you reach from a link on ours.
Children's privacy
This site isn't directed at children. We do collect children's ages as part of party composition where relevant to hotel pricing or vehicle capacity, provided by the adult making the booking — not directly from a child.
Marketing communications
With your consent, we may email you about offers or new destinations. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly. This doesn't affect transactional emails about an existing booking.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the platform changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do — please check back occasionally.
